Job Summary
We are seeking an exceptional Payroll Associate to join our Financial Services team. This role involves accurate payroll processing and benefit transactions, meeting strict deadlines, and maintaining compliance with collective agreements, employer terms, and statutory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, effective communication, and teamwork abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards.
- Analyze payroll and benefits data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain processes to ensure seamless payroll and benefits operations.
- Collaborate with employees, managers, and other departments to resolve payroll and benefits-related issues.
- Perform administrative tasks related to payroll and benefits, such as preparing reports and documents.
Education and Experience
- Completion of a post-secondary degree in a related field, such as accounting or finance, and/or relevant certification, like the Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) program through the Canadian Payroll Association.
- Minimum two years of experience in payroll and benefits administration, preferably in a similar computerized payroll and/or benefits environment.
- Strong knowledge of payroll and benefits laws, regulations, and industry standards, as well as a solid understanding of human resources policies and procedures.
