Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at 2186429 Ontario Inc. as a Culinary Team Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of food, ensuring high-quality standards are met, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Presentation: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all dishes meet our high-quality standards.
  • Inventory Management: Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and check the assembly of trays, delivery of food trolleys, and establish work schedules to ensure efficient operations.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and prepare and submit reports as required.
  • Culinary Knowledge: Have knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres and be able to prepare food order summaries for the chef.
Work Environment

This is a fast-paced environment that requires a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods. You will be working in a team environment with 5-10 people, and we are looking for a flexible and team-oriented individual who can adapt to changing circumstances.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
  • Work Schedule: 30 to 40 hours per week.
