The Registered Nurse will provide care to individuals who need assistance as they deal with the effects of aging, injury, surgery, or illness. This position is for agency staffing support and will be direct at multiple long-term care facilities.

The role includes:

  • Assessing and monitoring residents' health status.
  • Developing and implementing care plans based on individual needs.
  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Providing wound care and managing medical equipment.
  • Educating residents and their families on health management.
  • Supervising and coordinating care provided by other healthcare staff.
  • Responding to medical emergencies and providing first aid.
  • Documenting residents' medical histories and progress.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree (BScN), a Bachelor of Nursing degree (BN), or be a Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with College of Nurses of Ontario. You will also need to have experience as a visiting nurse, visiting registered nurse, visiting registered practical nurse, and/or community nurse.
