Landscape Labourer Position

St Albert, Alberta, Canada Cattail Crossing Ltd. Full time

Cattail Crossing Ltd. is seeking a skilled Landscape Labourer to join our team. As a key member of our landscape maintenance crew, you will be responsible for assisting with landscape constructions, weeding, pruning, and trimming trees and plants, cutting grass, raking and collecting refuse, and operating and maintaining landscape maintenance equipment.

Work Site Environment: Our landscape labourer will work outdoors, primarily on golf courses and in landscape maintenance settings. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced outdoor environment and will be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with landscape constructions
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants
  • Cut grass
  • Rake and collect refuse
  • Cart and spread topsoil and other materials
  • Apply fertilizers
  • Repair and maintain equipment
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's licence
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Hand-eye co-ordination
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling

Working Conditions: Our landscape labourer will work in a fast-paced outdoor environment, with regular exposure to the elements. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a variety of weather conditions and will be able to lift and move heavy equipment and materials as needed.

Hours: 32 to 60 hours per week
