Job Description:

The QA/QC Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are met throughout the power plant project. This includes developing and implementing the Quality Management Plan (QMP), conducting regular inspections, and overseeing testing protocols.

About the Position:

This is a permanent position with a competitive salary package. The successful candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance and control, with experience working on power plant projects. They will be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation, and have familiarity with QA/QC software and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the Quality Management Plan (QMP) for the power plant project.
  • Ensure all electrical, mechanical, and control system installations meet project specifications, industry standards (ISO, IEC), and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with Instrotec's internal quality procedures and guidelines.
  • Perform regular inspections of electrical and mechanical systems, including cables, instrumentation, and control systems.
  • Oversee testing protocols, including FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), SAT (Site Acceptance Testing), and commissioning tests.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate QA/QC documentation including inspection reports, test results, and NCR (Non-Conformance Report) records.
  • Provide detailed and regular quality reports to the Project Manager and Senior QA/QC Manager.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field)
  • 3+ years of experience in a QA/QC role, ideally within power plant, energy, or large-scale industrial projects
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and other relevant quality regulations
  • Proficiency in QA/QC processes including inspection, testing, and commissioning procedures
