Pastry Artisan

We are seeking a skilled Pastry Maker to join our team at The Mediterranean Pastry & Bakery. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of sweet and savory pastries, breads, and desserts.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare dough and batters for a range of pastry products, including pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods.
- Bake and decorate cakes and pastries for special occasions, such as weddings and birthdays.
- Requisition and order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
- Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
- Ensure the quality of products meets established standards.
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Organize and maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies.
- Baker Trade Certification.
- Excellent oral communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Dependability and initiative.
- Client focus and organized approach.
This is a temporary, full-time position with a 30-40 hour workweek. Bilingualism is an asset.
