Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

Escalade Transportation Inc is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across the country.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive Safely: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Load and Unload: Load and unload goods, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of cargo.
  • Obtain Permits: Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure safe operation.
  • Record Keeping: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Cargo Handling: Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo, including transporting and handling dangerous goods.
Requirements:
  • Certifications: Air Brake (Z) Endorsement and Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Hours: 50 hours per week.
