Job Description for Woodcraft Specialist at Platinum Drywall Ltd.

We are seeking a skilled Woodcraft Specialist to join our team. This is a permanent position, and we offer a competitive salary of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements and prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fits and installs windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware, while ensuring the highest quality standards.
  • Maintains, repairs and renovates residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
  • Degree of Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Fluency in English language.
  • Ability to work 35 hours per week.
