Real Estate Law Clerk - Transaction Expert

Ottawa, ON

Meridia Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Real Estate Law Clerk to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate law and be able to handle a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and editing real estate transaction documents.
  • Preparing closing agendas and Statements of Adjustments.
  • Completing Land Transfer Tax beneficial transfer returns and affiliate deferral applications.
  • Reviewing and summarizing title searches and off-title due diligence searches.
  • Corresponding professionally with clients, lawyers, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years' work experience in a clerical capacity in real estate law.
  • Strong knowledge of real estate legal software.
  • Experience with commercial real estate development and/or corporate law is an asset.

Working Conditions:

This position is hybrid, reporting to the office 50% of the time.
