At Refresco, we're passionate about putting our drinks on every table. As a Seasonal Forklift Operator, you'll play a crucial role in our warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient movement of goods and products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all health and safety policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) while in the warehouse or production areas.
  • Operate forklifts and/or related machinery in a safe, efficient, and productive manner.
  • Conduct trailer inspections, load full good trailers, and offload Port–o-Pets.
  • Participate in cleaning the shipping area, including mopping the PIT area, emptying garbage bins, and other assigned duties.
  • Relieve on production lines for breaks as per relief schedule and line operator requirements.
  • Report any hazardous conditions, incidents, accidents, or near misses to management.
  • Participate in hazard assessments and analysis, and report discrepancies in inventory accuracy to management and Inventory Control.
  • Contribute to improving efficiency, performance, and reducing downtime and waste.
  • Promote positive attitudes and team-based behaviors.
  • Commit to achieving team, department, and company goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Valid Forklift certification.
  • Approximately 3+ years in a fast-moving packaged goods environment, beverage production experience preferred.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written.
  • Solid understanding of production machinery and forklifts, including technical issues.
  • Able to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
  • Formal training in areas such as WHIMIS, HACCP, Hygiene, etc. preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Physical-Continuously standing or walking. Regular requirements to lift/handle/carry material or equipment of moderate weight.
  • Visual/Sensory-This position requires regular need to give moderate attention with one or two senses at a time.
  • Work environment- Work and environment are very repetitive.
  • Mental Stress- There is pronounced pressure from deadlines, production quotas, accuracy or similar demands.
