Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team at Mon Sheong Foundation. As a Caregiver Support Associate, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personalized care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, cultural, spiritual, and social needs of residents.
  • Work collaboratively with the Director of Resident Care/Assistant Director of Resident Care to develop and implement resident care plans.
  • Provide cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support to residents in their daily living activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident care and report any changes or concerns to registered staff.
  • Implement infection control policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Secondary School Diploma and a Personal Support Worker Certificate from an Ontario postsecondary institution or district school board.
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certification.
  • 1 year of experience in a long-term care facility.
  • Medical certificate of good physical and mental health.
  • Demonstrated interest in working with elderly individuals with patience, compassion, kindness, and creativity.
  • Ability to accommodate shift changes based on operational needs.
  • Proficiency in oral and written English.
  • Bilingual in Chinese is preferred.
