About the Role

Racar Canada Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Systems Designer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems that meet our high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify design opportunities and optimize system performance
  • Design and develop mechanical systems, including power plants, machines, and equipment
  • Supervise and inspect the installation of mechanical systems to ensure compliance with design specifications
  • Develop and implement maintenance standards, schedules, and programs to minimize downtime and optimize system performance
  • Investigate mechanical failures and unexpected maintenance problems to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and manage projects, including preparing material, cost, and timing estimates, reports, and design specifications
  • Supervise and review the work of technicians, technologists, and other engineers to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards
  • Assess business opportunities and develop strategies to drive growth and innovation
  • Develop and implement risk management plans to mitigate potential risks and ensure business continuity
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in mechanical systems design and development
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems design principles and industry standards
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
