Job Summary

COWI is seeking a highly skilled Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead our team in the design and delivery of underground structures and tunnels. As a key member of our global team, you will be responsible for coordinating the work of our temporary works team, collaborating with clients and stakeholders, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality engineering services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the design and delivery of retaining walls and steel structures for COWI's projects
  • Collaborate with clients, owners, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery
  • Direct COWI's delivery in temporary works, including forecasting, scheduling, and budgeting
  • Contribute expertise to projects, ensuring adherence to quality systems and effective communication with stakeholders
  • Perform, review, and approve engineering analyses and design of retaining walls and temporary steel structures
  • Classify, interpret, and characterize ground conditions for design of various structures
  • Contribute to production, review, and approval of design deliverables
  • Provide input in digital delivery and information management of projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or Structural Engineering
  • Registered Professional Engineer License (P.Eng.) in BC
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in project design, analysis, and design of retaining walls or similar underground structures
  • Experience in coordinating design of steel structures (preferred)
  • Experience and familiarity with regional codes (North America)
  • Experience with Plaxis 2D/3D or similar geotechnical FE software
