We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Systems Technician to join our team at Andis Autobody Repairs.

About the Job

This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will have English language proficiency.

Job Description

The Mechanical Systems Technician will be responsible for inspecting and testing mechanical units, adjusting, repairing or replacing parts and components of automotive systems, and performing scheduled maintenance service. They will also advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements.

Support for Newcomers and Refugees

The ideal candidate will support social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees by facilitating access to community resources, language training, skills training, etc. They will also recruit newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster, such as Ukraine or Afghanistan. Additionally, they will provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.

Support for Indigenous People

The successful candidate will offer mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses and organizations, and provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 CAD, based on industry standards and location. This includes comprehensive benefits and a competitive compensation package.

Requirements
  • No degree, certificate or diploma required
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field
