About the Role

WD Sheetmetal Ltd. is seeking a skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating and cooling systems in commercial and industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance: Install and overhaul heating systems, including refrigeration systems, ventilation, air handling, and air conditioning systems.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot heating systems, ventilation, air handling, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems to identify and resolve issues.
  • Assembly and Installation: Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components, including piping and fittings.
  • Testing and Quality Control: Test systems for leaks using testing devices and ensure that all installations meet quality standards.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as recharging systems with refrigerant, checking and testing regulators, and calibrating systems.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all work is performed in a safe and healthy manner, adhering to company policies and industry standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Trade Certification and Red Seal Certificate.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including refrigeration, ventilation, and air conditioning. Ability to read blueprints and other instructions to determine work requirements.
  • Tools and Equipment: Valid driver's license, steel-toed safety boots, and basic hand tools.
