Salary InformationThe salary range for this position is estimated at $124,557 to $136,000, based on qualifications and experience. As a permanent employee, you will be entitled to a comprehensive benefits package, including annual paid vacation, individual performance incentives, a defined benefit pension plan, and group insurance.
Job DescriptionThis Senior Specialist, IT Architecture role is part of the Enterprise Architecture and Advanced Analytics team at CMHC. You will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and managing CMHC's solutions, as well as developing, evolving, documenting, and publishing the architecture, application development, and commercial off-the-shelf related elements of CMHC's applications and platforms.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate, design, and analyze solutions for implementation across business applications or technologies, aligned with enterprise strategies, business capabilities, and requirements.
- Develop models and documentation of architecture while overseeing and approving solution development and platform usage within CMHC.
- Provide insight, guidance, and decisions to third-party vendors, external firms, and CMHC business lines on technical direction, including EA Target State architecture.
- Track the company application portfolio and assist project teams in shaping architectures consistent with platforms, roadmaps, and standards.
- Resolve technical issues, provide technical support, and quality control throughout systems architecture projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of seven years' experience in at least two IT solution development disciplines (e.g., technical or infrastructure architecture, network management, cloud application development, application development, middleware, IT Security, or database management).
- Demonstrated experience producing high-quality technical documentation, designing and integrating business processes and software, and working with various computer applications and software.
- An ability to analyze and decide on solutions for enterprise-level software and infrastructure that fit into an overall architecture.
