At Viso Engineering Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Design Specialist to join our team. This is a permanent full-time opportunity with an estimated salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per year.

About the Role

The Electrical Systems Design Specialist will be responsible for conducting feasibility studies, designing electrical generation and distribution networks, and ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and building codes. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct feasibility studies and design operation and performance research of electrical generation and distribution networks
  • Commission systems and components, and ensure compliance to drawings, specifications, and building codes
  • Make custom designs for clients, and confer with them to determine design needs
  • Confer with clients and other members of the engineering team to determine project requirements, and conduct or supervise the installation, commissioning, and operation of electrical and electronic equipment and systems
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5 years of experience in electrical design and engineering
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Visio, AutoCAD, ETAP, LabView, MS Project, and MS Windows
  • Experience with lighting systems, power generation, transmission, and distribution, control systems, telecommunications, electrical machines, transformers, networks, renewable resources, and Canadian Electrical (CE) Code
