Retail Food Service Associate

Cumbrae's Bayview is a butcher shop and retail food store located in a convenient location. We are seeking a skilled and friendly individual to join our front of house team.
Job Responsibilities- Serve and assist customers in a professional and courteous manner.
- Resolve customer complaints in a timely and effective way.
- Operate the cash register and POS system with accuracy and efficiency.
- Issue receipts, refunds, credits, and change to customers as needed.
- Take online orders and fulfill them to completion.
- Pack various foods, including fresh vegetables, meats, ready-to-go meals, and charcuterie.
- Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas and keep stations organized and sanitized.
- Proficient in English with strong communication skills.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Customer service-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Organizational skills to manage cash register and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Familiarity with phone etiquette is preferred.
This is a physically demanding position that requires standing for long periods of time and lifting up to 40lbs.

Shifts range from 4 to 8 hours, with occasional longer shifts if requested and agreed to. Morning, afternoon, and closing shifts are available.
AvailabilityWork days include Monday to Friday, every weekend at least one day available, and holidays (store is closed on stat holidays).
Education and ExperienceSecondary School (preferred) and 1 year of work experience (preferred) and 1 year of customer service experience (preferred).
