We are seeking a skilled and experienced Transport Truck Driver to join our team at Hilltop Granites Canada Inc. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Route Planning and Execution: Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods safely and efficiently.
  • Vehicle Operation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Payment and Documentation: Pay and receive payments for goods, and record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Emergency Response: Perform emergency roadside repairs and ensure safety procedures are followed.
  • Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses: Possess a valid DZ class license and a Driver's License (Class 3 or D).
  • Experience: Have at least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Communication Systems: Be proficient in operating GPS and other navigation equipment.
  • Transportation Experience: Have experience in local, provincial/territorial, regional, and short-haul transportation.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to handle heavy loads, work in a physically demanding environment, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Personal Qualities: Possess flexibility, judgment, organization, reliability, and a hardworking attitude.
