Job Summary

GardaWorld is seeking a highly skilled and professional Security Guard to join our team. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients' tenants, visitors, and assets in a professional and courteous manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols to detect and prevent potential security threats
  • Lock and unlock doors, and maintain access control systems
  • Assist staff and students on campus, and provide security escorts as needed
  • Respond to service calls, and write incident reports
  • Conduct property inspections, and enforce property laws and regulations
  • Assist in emergency situations, and provide first aid and CPR as needed
  • Interact with students, visitors, and the general public in a professional and courteous manner
  • Maintain social distancing, and detect and challenge unwanted individuals
  • Evacuate the building in case of emergency
  • Contribute to a positive and productive work environment through teamwork
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled or completed Police Foundation or equivalent education is considered an asset
  • Pursuing a career in law enforcement is considered an asset
  • 4 years of secondary education or Diploma Certificate
  • Previous experience in the security industry
  • Valid Provincial Security Guard license
  • Valid G/G-2 license and a clean abstract
  • Valid First Aid and CPR C, AED certification
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer service oriented
  • Leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Vulnerable Sector Check Clearance required
