Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Plumbing Specialist to join our team at Ocean Dry Ent. dba Saanich Plumbing & Heating. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
  • Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings.
  • Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
  • Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shape and size.
Work Environment

You will work in various locations, including commercial and residential settings. The work site environment may involve confined spaces and wet/damp conditions.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the trade.
  • Accurate, client-focused, efficient interpersonal skills, judgment, and teamwork abilities.
