Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Over-the-Road Truck Driver to join our team at F R C Transport Ltd. As an Over-the-Road Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, working closely with our dispatch team to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.

About the Role

This is a permanent position, offering a competitive salary and excellent benefits package. The successful candidate will have a valid Class 1 or A driver's license and Air Brakes Endorsement, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a straight truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+) or tractor-trailer, safely transporting goods and materials across the country
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring accurate cargo information is recorded
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections on vehicles, identifying and addressing any issues
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other stakeholders to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Maintain accurate records of hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption
Requirements
  • Valid Class 1 or A driver's license and Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
