Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and nursing practice activities within the framework of quality management and in accordance with the BCCNM Standards for Nursing Practice and Northern Health Mission, Vision, and Values statement.
- Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans, ensuring that they are individualized, evidence-based, and aligned with the patient's goals and preferences.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and coordinated care, including physicians, nurses, therapists, and other support staff.
- Contribute to a culture of safety and quality, identifying and reporting any safety concerns or near misses, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and caregivers, providing education and support to promote health and well-being.
- Current registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
- Ability to promote safe, competent, patient care.
- Ability to recognize and intervene appropriately in an emergency situation.
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
- Ability to operate related equipment, including computer software such as Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all members of the healthcare team.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
