We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Sales Associate to join our team at Pet Valu. As a Sales Associate, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service and creating memorable moments for our customers and their pets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service to our customers and their pets.
  • Perform cash-related functions, sales processing, and end-of-day closing activities.
  • Prepare merchandise orders, prepare banking deposits, and other miscellaneous paperwork.
  • Place small items into stock in the sales area of the store.
  • Ensure the safety standards on the sales floor are maintained.
  • Assist in replenishing shelves after receiving deliveries of pet food and supplies.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous retail or guest service experience is desirable.
  • Ability to demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service and animal welfare.
  • Flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and closing.
  • Previous experience with retail point-of-sale (POS) software is desirable.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs repetitively without assistance.
  • Access to reliable transportation to and from the store.
