Metal Fabricator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our team at Industrial Exhaust Components. As a Metal Fabricator, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal components for our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine Materials Required: Plan and determine the materials needed for each project.
  • Interpret Engineering Drawings: Interpret engineering drawings and others' instructions to plan methods and sequences of operation.
  • Lay Out Reference Points: Lay out reference points and patterns for metal fabrication.
  • Plan Efficient Operations: Plan the sequence of tasks to cut metal most efficiently.
  • Assemble and Fit Components: Assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures.
  • Weld or Bolt Sections: Weld or bolt sections together to create a strong and durable product.
  • Operate Heavy-Duty Machines: Set up and operate heavy-duty metal-working machines to fabricate metal components.
  • Construct Patterns and Templates: Construct patterns and templates for metal fabrication.
  • Install Fabricated Components: Install fabricated components in final products.
  • Rig, Hoist, and Move Materials: Rig, hoist, and move materials to storage areas or within the worksite.
