Job Summary

We're seeking an Analytical Technologist to join our Research & Development Centre in Kingston, working in the Analytical Sciences Group. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for developing and operating advanced analytical methods, managing equipment, and collaborating with project teams to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and operate advanced analytical methods for R&D or manufacturing programs
  • Manage and maintain analytical equipment to deliver quality results
  • Interface with project teams to share and discuss analytical results
  • Participate in initiatives for improving analytical facilities and site
  • Document results and methods in various formats and present results
  • Train and/or mentor other team members in specific analytical methods
Requirements
  • B.Sc. in chemistry or related scientific discipline
  • Experience in method development and use of chromatography and spectroscopy techniques
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Ability to learn new techniques and methods
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency with statistical analysis tools and database management
  • Familiarity with LIMS and instrument maintenance
  • Experience with Joint Health and Safety committees and ISO Quality Management System
