Job Title: Senior HPC Engineer

At F. Hoffmann-La Roche Gruppe, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior HPC Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our High Performance Computing section, you will be responsible for implementing, operating, and evolving computing and data IT infrastructure solutions to support our Research and Development organizations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable developers to easily build, test, and deploy their applications.
  • Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of platforms and services by applying software engineering principles to build and manage large-scale IT infrastructure products and services.
  • Responsible for availability, tuning, performance, efficiency, change, and configuration management, monitoring, emergency response, and capacity planning.
  • Act as an analyst by transforming complex customer and developer needs into specific technical requirements.
Requirements:
  • 6-9 years of experience working in one or more multinational work environments as a senior systems or software engineer.
  • Background in Linux/Unix Server technologies (RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu, and Satellite/Foreman).
  • Linux/Unix High-Performance Computing (HPC) Clusters configurations and workload managers (e.g., IBM LSF, SLURM).
  • Wide experience applying infrastructure automation tools, infrastructure as code, scripting languages, logging, monitoring, and observability.
