About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Instructor, Special Programs for Persons with Disabilities to join our team at Families of Alberta for Conductive Education. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality educational programs to individuals with physical disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development and Delivery
    • Develop and implement individualized education and intervention plans based on the special needs of clients to facilitate their readaptation and independence objectives.
    • Design and implement specialized therapy programs to maintain, rehabilitate, or enhance movement, musculoskeletal functioning, and performance in sports, work, and recreation.
  • Client Assessment and Support
    • Assess individuals' physical limitations, orientation abilities, and mobility to establish client rehabilitation goals.
    • Provide instruction in the use of rehabilitative techniques, prosthetic devices, and wheelchairs.
  • Team Collaboration and Leadership
    • Supervise office and volunteer staff, as well as professional and support staff and students.
    • Maintain accurate records and participate in fundraising activities.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
    • Experience in rehabilitation or special education is an asset.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Rehabilitation or Special Education Certificate.
    • Valid driver's license.
