About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable Fire Alarm Technician Trainee to join our team at Fire Safety and Protection. As a Fire Alarm Technician Trainee, you will play a crucial role in supporting our team of experienced technicians in the installation, inspection, and repair of fire alarm systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Filling out work orders and inspection documents in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assisting with inspections of fire alarm systems to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Providing support with service and repairs to fire alarm systems as required.
  • Assisting with installations of various system types, including fire alarm panels and detectors.
  • Performing inspections of fire extinguishers and extinguishing systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Performing inspections and repairs of emergency lighting systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Providing excellent customer service and addressing customer inquiries and concerns in a professional manner.
  • Adhering to Health and Safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Assisting with building maintenance and other tasks as required.
  • Collaborating with other service technicians and sales staff to achieve team goals.
  • Assisting with shop work and other tasks as required.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • No previous experience is required, as on-the-job training will be provided.
  • A post-secondary course in electronics or fire safety is considered an asset.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
