Job SummaryWe're seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator Leader to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for implementing health and safety activities planned by our department and ensuring compliance with provincial laws and regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities- Support field personnel on the construction site and ensure high-quality health and safety management meetings
- Conduct regular inspections to identify non-compliant or unsafe situations and inform the superintendent of risks and hazards
- Investigate accidents, incidents, or near misses that could have had significant consequences and implement corrective actions
- Require operating/compliance certificates for heavy equipment and/or lifting devices
- Receive inspectors with respect, support them, and offer them full cooperation
