About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Project Pilot to join our team at Forest Protection Limited, operating in Fredericton, New Brunswick.

This is a seasonal, casual position that involves working on various projects across different provinces, utilizing aircraft such as the Cessna 208 Caravan and PA-60 Piper Aerostar.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating assigned aircraft according to FPL's Company Operations Manual and Standard Operating Procedures.

Key duties include adhering to instructions from Department of Natural Resources officers on fire suppression or base managers on aerial application projects.

A high level of effective communication, discipline, and decision-making skills are essential for this role, which requires working in a team environment with stand-by shifts based on weather conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate assigned aircraft safely and efficiently.
  • Adhere to all applicable regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records and report any issues requiring maintenance.
  • Ensure cleanliness of the aircraft at all times.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must possess a Commercial Pilot License - Fixed wing and have at least 1000 hours of total time, including 100 hours of multi-engine PIC experience.

Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certification is an asset, as well as experience with turbine engines and low-altitude operations.
