CAD (Computer-Assisted Drafting) Technician

BFP Engineering Solutions Incorporated. is seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join our team. As a CAD Technician, you will be responsible for creating detailed engineering designs and drawings using computer-aided design software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare accurate and detailed engineering designs and drawings using CAD software
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications to determine work requirements
  • Supervise and train junior drafting personnel
  • Develop and prepare design sketches and technical reports
  • Prepare construction specifications, costs, and material estimates
  • Prepare contracts and tenders
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in CAD design and drafting
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
Working Conditions:
  • 35 hours per week
  • English language
