Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement engineering processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Provide technical support and advice to other departments on the interpretation of standards, drawings and codes of practice.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
- Ensure that all Manufacturing Inspection and Test Plans (MITPs), Manufacturing Control Sheets (MCSs) and Work Instructions (WI) are in place and launched on-time, maintained and controlled.
- Manage and support the Engineering department staff in their daily activities by providing leadership and ensuring scheduled deadlines are met.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with high standing from a recognized university.
- Licensed with Professional Engineers Ontario (P.Eng. designation)
- At least ten years of full-time experience working in either the nuclear, power, mining, aerospace or defence industries; management experience is beneficial.
- Understanding of ASME Section III and Section IX Code and the ISO9001:2008, CSA N285.0 and CAN3-CSA Z299/N299 quality standards is an asset.
