About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Financial Systems Integration Specialist to join our team at BMO.

Job Summary

This is a key position within our Technology organization, responsible for delivering exceptional support to our global repo trading desks. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise and excellent communication skills, with a passion for delivering high-quality solutions that meet business needs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day support for BMO's global repo trading desks, ensuring seamless integration and optimal system performance.
  • Efficiently and effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, including Front/Middle Office, Trade Desk Support, Back Office, Risk, Collateral Management, Accounting/Settlement, and others.
  • Participate in delivery of small-to-medium size enhancements to existing processes, as required by business priorities.
  • Develop strong partnerships with key business stakeholders and technology contacts, fostering collaborative relationships and driving business value.
  • Act as an expert for all integration aspects of Repo systems, working closely with external teams to resolve issues (e.g., market data providers, settlements systems, Collateral management, etc.).
  • Resolve identified issues by collaborating with Repo trading system vendors and other external contacts, such as trading venues, clearing houses, tri-party agents, and regulatory agencies.
  • Contribute to activities related to system upgrades, infrastructure/security patching, ensuring applications are validated and ready for business following system changes.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience working with Repo trading systems in a typical sell-side organization.
  • Proven expertise in building productivity tools/applications using Python and Excel/VBA.
  • Strong knowledge of all aspects of Repo trading, including trade execution and lifecycle events, inventory and collateral management, settlements, electronic and tri-party trading, and more.
  • Experience with outright bond trading and Interest Rate derivatives is highly valued for this role.
  • Familiarity with systems such as Bondfire, Broadridge FinPro/Impact/SFCM, Bloomberg TOMS, FIS BondOne, Calypso, Anvil, and Apex is preferred.
What You'll Bring
  • At least 5-7 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field of study or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience.
Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $74,800.00 - $138,600.00 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
