The City of North Vancouver requires a highly skilled Pipefitter – Layer (Water) to join its team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the city's water infrastructure, ensuring the health and safety of our citizens.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintaining and repairing water infrastructure, including pipes and other equipment;
  • Performing skilled pipe laying work according to plans, line and grade;
  • Locating underground utilities;
  • Responding to emergency and trouble calls;
  • Directing the work of one or more Labourers.
Required Qualifications
  • A minimum of two years related experience in water utility systems;
  • A thorough knowledge of the methods, practices, procedures and materials, tools and equipment used in water operations, maintenance and construction;
  • A valid Class 5 BC Drivers' License and completion of Grade 12, supplemented by courses leading to certification in water distribution or Wastewater Collection within the Environmental Operators Certification Program (EOCP).
Benefits and Compensation

This full-time position offers an hourly rate of $35.48 per hour. The regular hours of work are from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.
