Bakery Specialist Job Description

At 10tation Event Catering, we are seeking a skilled Bakery Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of sweet and savory goods for our events and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare dough and batters for a range of baked goods, including pies, bread, rolls, and sweet treats.
  • Requisition and order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Bake mixed dough and batters to perfection.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
  • Prepare special orders and ensure that all products meet our high standards.
  • Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods to impress.
  • Draw up production schedules to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Inspect kitchen and food service areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Operate machinery and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Organize and maintain inventory to prevent waste and ensure availability of ingredients.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a bakery or related field.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects and stand for long periods.
