In this highly visible role, you will ensure that all AWS teams are working together effectively and efficiently to deliver outcomes for the customer.
You will be a critical partner to our most strategic Independent Software Vendor (ISV) customers, leveraging your experience with large scale cloud transformations and helping shepherd them through their stages of AWS adoption. As a Cloud Solutions Architect, you will translate strategic objectives from your customers into executable actions, managing cadence by leading the program management functions along the way. Building enablement plans, running design thinking innovation workshops, innovation hackathons, Executive Briefing Sessions, and go-live events are just a few items owned by the CSM that are critical to the success of our customer's cloud journey.
You are encouraged to think big, invent and take ownership of customer challenges. You will not only bring the best of AWS/Amazon to our customers, but you will proactively help solve the customer's challenges through new ideas, tools and mechanisms.
Successful candidates will have a strong technical background, but even more proficient at understanding and solving complex business problems. Candidates should be detail-driven, have excellent problem-solving abilities, and be exemplary communicators both at the executive and project team level. You will be a peer leader, have the ability to gain stakeholder buy-in, negotiate and lead teams. Your enterprise cloud experience and operational excellence will influence the team's decisions, provide insight, and help drive secure and robust solutions.
You will evangelize AWS services and influence customers for adopting them. You should be passionate about delivering a great customer experience by deploying AWS solutions and driving innovation, and also be obsessed with contributing to the day-to-day management of the customers' successful migration to AWS.
Your role will be critical in helping power our Canadian ISVs to become global tech leaders
About the RoleThis is an opportunity to work on large-scale cloud transformations, driving customer adoption and growth through innovative solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement cloud strategies, ensuring seamless execution and post-migration stability.
Key Responsibilities- Translate customer strategic objectives into executable actions
- Manage program management functions, ensuring effective collaboration across AWS teams
- BUILD enablement plans, run design thinking innovation workshops, innovation hackathons, Executive Briefing Sessions, and go-live events
- Proactively help solve customer challenges through new ideas, tools and mechanisms
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- 5+ years of leading large-scale, technical or engineering programs with a proven record of thought leadership, business case development, realizing customer benefits, and successful program completion experience
- 3+ years of customer-facing work, engaging with customer executives, technologists or partners to solve business problems with advanced technologies experience
- Experience leading technical and non-technical transformation project teams with a proven ability to work across broad functional teams
- Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, math, business or equivalent
- Ability to travel 25% to 35% as needed
- PMP certification, or SCRUM/Agile, SAFe certification
- Experience implementing cloud services including migrations and modernization projects or similar
- 3 years experience working in a SaaS environment
