About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Enterprise Architect to join our team at Banque Nationale du Canada, in the IT Delivery Architecture - Wealth Management department. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the long-term strategic vision for the domain, working closely with business stakeholders and technology teams.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Act as a trusted advisor to the domain's lines of business, providing strategic guidance on business architecture, technology, and innovation.
  2. Collect and analyze business strategy and issues, operational realities, and transpose them into business solutions and strategies.
  3. Establish and maintain the mapping of business capabilities, collaborating with business stakeholders and data governance.
  4. Maintain the target architecture and transformation roadmap of technology ecosystems.
  5. Support and accompany delivery trains, ensuring solutions align with the roadmap and adhere to Bank's guidelines and architecture standards.
  6. Identify potential interrelationships and synergies between delivery trains.
  7. Ensure the healthy evolution of the application portfolio, addressing obsolescence, technological debt, and simplification.
  8. Stay on top of business and technological trends, contributing to innovation with the line of business.

About the Team

Our team in the IT Delivery - Wealth Management sector is comprised of 10 colleagues, reporting to the Strategy and Delivery Architect. We value investment expertise, business proximity, and collaboration, with a focus on continuous learning and development.

Requirements

  1. Completed Bachelor's degree, related to the sector of activity, and 15 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree and 8 years of experience.
  2. Experience as a Senior Architect in delivering major projects in large companies.
  3. Strong knowledge of the investment industry, including brokerage, trading, back office, CPG, Mutual Fund distribution, and manufacturing, as well as multi-channel brokerage capabilities.
  4. Mastery of modern digital ecosystem concepts, technologies, and solutions, such as Microservices, APIs, Data Flows, Security, Elasticity, PaaS, Cloud SaaS, and DevOps.
  5. AWS Cloud Architect certification is an asset.
  6. Strong ability to synthesize, analyze, popularize, and influence.
  7. Sense of innovation and ability to rethink or redefine different directions.

Languages

English and French, with a need to work closely with colleagues outside Quebec.
