As a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate lease accounting records, ensuring compliance with tenant agreements, and leading possesses strong accounting skills, a solid understanding of real estate accounting principles, and exceptional organizational abilities.

Your success will be defined by your ability to:

  • Generate financial analyses and insights related to lease activity, cash flows, and variances to forecast
  • Monitor budget performance, including interim review of estimated CAM reconciliations, and provide variance analysis for revenue accounts, also making necessary adjustments as required.
  • Collaborate with Property Management to prepare year end CAM reconciliations, as well as an annual property budget
  • Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and projections to support decision-making
  • Participate in budget reviews and meetings, providing financial insights and recommendations
  • Collaborate with Leasing and Property Management to obtain necessary lease information, resolve discrepancies, and validate data accuracy.
  • Monitor critical lease events such as renewals, terminations, and modifications.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Proven experience as a Property Accountant or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
