Job Summary:


We are seeking an experienced Web Software Engineer to join our team at Tejas Consultants Inc. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining complex web applications using a variety of programming languages and technologies.



About the Role:



  • This position requires a strong foundation in computer science, software engineering, and web development principles.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience with web development frameworks, databases, and operating systems.
  • We are looking for someone who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • This is a permanent position offering 35-40 hours of work per week.


Responsibilities:



  2. Design, develop, and test web applications using various programming languages and technologies.
  3. Maintain existing web applications by making modifications as required.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
  5. Source, select, and organize information for inclusion and design the appearance, layout, and flow of web applications.
  6. Create and optimize content for web applications using a variety of graphics, database, animation, and other software.
  7. Lead and co-coordinate multidisciplinary teams to develop web applications, graphics, content, capacity, and interactivity.
  8. Research and evaluate a variety of software products to ensure they meet our requirements.
  9. Write, modify, integrate, and test software code for e-commerce and other Internet applications.


Requirements:


To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in web development.
  • Strong understanding of web development frameworks, databases, and operating systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat Reader, Illustrator, Photoshop, HTML, CSS, Website creation and management software, Web service design, Adobe Dreamweaver, MS Office, and WordPress.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Possess a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to delivering high-quality results.


Compensation and Benefits:


We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus additional benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plan, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.



Language:


This is an English-speaking role, and proficiency in English is essential.



Work Environment:


This is a full-time position working 35-40 hours per week in a fast-paced environment. You will be expected to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
