Job Summary

The Ville de Laval is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Inspector to join our team. As an Environmental Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with municipal regulations and conducting inspections to identify and address environmental concerns.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits and inspections to verify compliance with environmental regulations;
• Identify potential environmental issues and develop corrective action plans;
• Prepare and submit reports on inspection findings and recommendations;
• Collaborate with stakeholders to educate and inform them about environmental regulations and best practices;
• Develop and maintain relationships with community groups and other stakeholders to promote environmental awareness and education;
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date on environmental regulations and best practices;

Requirements

• Diploma in Environmental Studies or a related field;
• 2 years of experience in environmental inspection, analysis, and compliance;
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and policies;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle;
