Job Title: Education Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Education Assistant to join our team at the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide support to designated students with special needs, assisting with activities, planning, and preparing materials, as well as providing observation and assessment data.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist students with special needs with activities and daily routines
  • Plan and prepare materials and activities to support student learning
  • Provide observation and assessment data to support student progress
  • Record keeping and data entry
  • Medically necessary interventions, such as catheterization and suctioning
  • Other related duties as assigned by the Principal or classroom teacher
Qualifications:
  • Ontario High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One of the following diplomas or certificates: Teacher Aide Program, Child Care Worker Program, Developmental Services Worker Program, Children's Services Program, Early Childhood Education Program, or Ontario Teacher Certification
  • Behaviour Management System (BMS) training preferred
