Clinical Operations Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Operations Leader to join our team at Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our clinical services.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the planning, organization, and directing of clinical care consistent with the philosophy, objectives, and vision of our Mental Health and Addictions Program.
- Model professional nursing practice and foster an environment that enhances patient care.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve clinical operations and patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve shared goals and objectives.
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff to ensure high-quality patient care and services.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
- Registered, or eligible to be registered, with CRNNS required.
- Minimum Five (5) years relevant clinical nursing experience required.
- Current successful completion of CPR Level-C Healthcare Provider or BLS course within the last 12 months required.
- Non-violent Crisis Intervention certification required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to the Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) model.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development and practice required.
- Sound understanding of, and commitment to family centred care required.
- Demonstrated time management, communication (verbal and written), organizational, and interpersonal skills required.
- Previous leadership experience preferred.
- CNA Certification in Mental Health Nursing an asset.
- Post Graduate Program/Course is Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing an asset.
- Completed continuing education in leadership or team training an asset.
- Demonstrated leadership, delegation, and problem-solving skills involving innovation/creativity in solution development.
- Adaptable and flexible in responding to changes in patient/family and unit/service needs.
- Demonstrated competencies in the promotion of teamwork/teambuilding through consultation and collaboration with all stakeholders.
- Competency in other languages considered an asset.
