Scotiabank is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the effective leadership and management of Global Contact Centres (GCC) strategic projects. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for the execution of International Banking related projects for the Canadian Contact Centre, working closely with stakeholders across our global footprint.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure project adherence to Scotiabank project management policies and standards.
  • Create business cases with Scotiabank's PMO guidelines.
  • Organize workstreams and RACIs to ensure clear roles and accountabilities.
  • Manage project scoping, defining objectives, deliverables, assumptions, dependencies, and constraints.
  • Identify required team members and establish project governance.
  • Develop a strong working relationship with internal clients and articulate business outcomes.
  • Prepare project management documentation, including project charter, schedule, budget, communication plan, and risk assessment.
  • Coordinate business requirements definition with business leads and subject matter experts.
  • Ensure project key deliverables are reviewed, discussed, and approved by appropriate parties.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure integrated project plan holds all key milestones.
  • Manage project execution phase, including creating a robust project plan, identifying project dependencies, and tracking activities.
  • Proactively manage, raise, and resolve project risks and issues.
  • Manage project budget, preparing monthly cost/expenses forecast, quarterly accruals, and year-end carry forwards.
  • Prepare executive-level presentations to communicate project status.
  • Ensure adherence to the Project Change Management process.
  • Lead operational and financial activities to formally close the project.

Requirements:

  • Fluent in Spanish (reading, writing, speaking).
  • 7-10+ years of experience as a Project Manager with both Agile and Waterfall project experience.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Knowledge of Contact Centre strategies, operations, Voice & Non-Voice channels, technologies, and industry trends.
  • Strong communication skills, energetic, self-motivated, with the ability to create a collaborative process across various stakeholders.
  • Strong initiative, forward thinking, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Strong level PC/software skills, particularly in MS Office suite and project/process design and administration tools.
  • Business background in financial services with strong knowledge of retail banking products, sales processes, and distribution channels.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills with the ability to create clear, concise executive-level PowerPoint presentations.
  • Able to create structure out of ambiguous situations.
  • PMP Designation.
  • Undergraduate degree preferred.
