About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Lead Care Support Specialist to join our team at Oakville Children's Homes. As a key member of our care staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support to our children and ensuring their overall well-being.

In this dynamic position, you will be responsible for leading a team of care support specialists, working closely with them to develop and implement personalized care plans that cater to the unique needs of each child. Job Description

The successful candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, with a strong focus on patient care and comfort. You will be expected to perform a range of tasks, including:

  • Accompanying patients on outdoor recreational activities
  • Performing other duties related to patient care and comfort
  • Supervising patients' exercise routines
  • Administering suppositories, colonic irrigations, and enemas

You will also be responsible for maintaining inventory of supplies, bathing, dressing, and grooming patients, as well as transporting patients between care facilities.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working in a rehabilitation centre or special health institution
  • A First Aid Certificate and CPR certification

As a leader, you will be responsible for mentoring and guiding your team members to ensure they provide the highest level of care possible.
