Your Opportunity
We are seeking a Manager to join our US Corporate Tax team and take on the following responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies for clients to capitalize on business and tax opportunities for cross-border operations, including preparing and reviewing tax reorganizations and reviewing tax returns.
- Lead US Tax engagements for partnership, trust, and corporate clients, ensuring exceptional service and quality work.
- Build strong relationships with clients, understanding their industry, challenges, and opportunities.
- Participate in business development initiatives, identifying new business opportunities with existing clients.
- Communicate effectively with team members, providing progress updates and addressing issues in a timely manner.
- Invest in the professional development of your team, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a professional who embodies BDO's core values: Integrity, Respect, and Collaboration. You should have a strong understanding of relevant tax legislation, corporate and trust tax planning, and compliance. Excellent communication skills in both English and French are essential. You should be a team player, with a focus on client service, quality, and problem-solving.
Your Qualifications
- Canadian or US CPA designation.
- 5 years' experience in public accounting, with a focus on US Tax clients.
- Extensive knowledge of tax legislation, corporate and trust tax planning, and compliance.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and French.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
