We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our team at Access Co. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a critical role in supporting the organization's business objectives and goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic HR Leadership:
    • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement HR strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.

  • Talent Acquisition:
    • Design and implement recruitment and retention strategies that meet the organization's objectives.
    • Collaborate with business leaders and managers to identify current and future staffing requirements and lead the recruitment process.
    • Work with hiring managers to define job requirements, create job descriptions, complete job evaluations, and onboarding requirements.
  • Talent Development:
    • Implement learning and development initiatives to enhance employees' skills, capabilities, and career growth within the organization.
    • Identify high-potential employees and facilitate succession planning efforts.
    • Identify corporate training and development needs and opportunities and provide recommendations.
  • Performance Management:
    • Oversee the performance management process, ensuring clear goal setting, regular feedback, and fair evaluations.
    • Work with managers to identify performance improvement opportunities and develop tailored action plans.
  • Employee Engagement:
    • Design and implement programs to enhance employee engagement, job satisfaction, and workplace culture.
    • Address employee concerns while promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
    • Provide expertise, input, and assistance with managing the recognition and rewards processes.
    • Conduct stay and exit interview processes; summarize results, provide feedback, and make recommendations.
  • HR Compliance:
    • Stay up-to-date with labor laws and HR best practices, ensuring the organization's policies and procedures comply with legal requirements.
    • Provide guidance on HR compliance matters, including employee and labor relations, collective agreement, workplace safety, and employment and pay equity.
  • Collaboration and Relationship Building:
    • Build strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, fostering a culture of teamwork and mutual respect.
    • Work closely with HR colleagues to share knowledge, best practices, and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the HR function.
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to build a diverse and inclusive talent pipeline.
  • Brand Awareness & Promotion:
    • Act as an ambassador for Access Co, promoting the organization and its career opportunities.
    • Identify opportunities to market Access Co as an employer of choice and attend career fairs.
    • Advance the organization's commitment to diversity by liaising with individuals, groups, and organizations and marketing employment opportunities accordingly.
    • Identify and implement creative sourcing opportunities to promote the organization to prospective candidates.
    • Stay current on new and emerging channels of communication and contacts to advertise job opportunities.
    Requirements
    • Education: Post-secondary education in a related field of study from a recognized learning institution.
    • Certifications, Licenses, Designations: Chartered Professionals in Human Resources (CPHR) designation.
    • Experience Level: Eight years plus (8+) successful experience working as an HR practitioner with multiple HR-related functions at a senior level.
    • Experience researching labor and employment law and applying legislative and legal requirements: Yes.
    • Technical Competencies / Skills: Skilled use of MS Office, social media, and related technologies (intermediate level) and related applications.
    • Communication: Verbal and written communication skills with the ability to make presentations, develop and deliver training programs (using technology and/or in person).
