Caregiver PSW Job Summary

The Caregiver PSW provides personalized care and support services to clients in their homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Personal Care: Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other daily living activities to promote clients' physical and emotional well-being.
  • Companion/Sitter: Provide companionship and respite services to clients, engaging in activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
  • Medication Services: Assist clients with self-administered medications, ensuring their safe and timely administration.
Qualifications:
  • High school graduate or equivalent certificate.
  • Successful completion of a Provincial-approved Personal Support Worker, Certified Nurse Aide, or Health Care Aide course.
  • Meets passing criteria on PSW/HHA skills test and DEARS test.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and have access to adequate transportation.
