Description:
Shared Health, The University of Manitoba, and Department of Internal Medicine, Section of Allergy and Clinical Immunology are seeking a highly skilled Allergist to address the labour shortage in Manitoba. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating diseases, prescribing medications and treatment, ordering lab tests and x-rays, and consulting with other physicians as required.
The successful candidate will also be eligible for appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Professor, and appointed as a geographical full-time member of the Max Rady College of Medicine, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba. Job duties are required in English.
The successful candidate will be a clinician investigator with protected research time and a proven track record in research. They will have a strong record of publications in high-impact journals commensurate with their stage of career, and proven ability to obtain peer-reviewed research funding from recognized granting agencies.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must hold a Doctor of Medicine Degree with specialization in Allergy and Clinical Immunology. Benefits, available from the University of Manitoba, include pension, life insurance, disability, dental coverage, supplementary health coverage, and a healthcare spending account.
