Occupational Therapist

**Education and Training**
Graduation from a recognized university program in Occupational Therapy is required. Current practicing full registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC) is also necessary. Eligibility for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT) is a plus.
**Experience and Skills**
Three (3) years of recent related experience, including experience working in a mental health environment, is required. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
**Key Responsibilities**
• Provide occupational therapy services to patients with mental health conditions, including assessment, treatment planning, and implementation.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop strategies to address them.
• Develop and implement programs to promote patient independence and well-being.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families on occupational therapy techniques and strategies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and services.
